Teamwork skills Tyneside cinema film making course

1 Be able to contribute to the setting of the team and individual goals

1.1. Identify the team’s goals

The goals of our team was to make a noir film, set as a gangster movie.

1.2 Describe the process involved in planning and deciding the teams goals

we were giving a trailer to watch, the trailer was off the film point blank that came out in the 60s we were asked to make some scenes off a script called square which was like the gangster film we were showed.
The aim of the project was to film and edit the trailer we planned the trailer by discussing how the scene would look good with the shooting scenes.

2 Understand own and others responsibility in achieving the team goals

2.1. Organise own activities effectively within the agreed goals of the team

my particular role was assistant directing and i did a bit of amateur cinematography.

2.2  Provide information detailing own and other team members’ responsibilities

i was an assistant director and did some cinematography we organized the trailer in scenes by filming each scene at a different stage of the day we communicated the ideas together as a class we sat down and discussed what would be good for the team project we used a lot of equipment such as cameras and mics and lights we also had some props like costumes and fake weapons we used sofa cushions to make a makeshift prison bed. And cardboard scraps to make a fake cell we all had our specific roles while we were filming Dan Sam and Karim were acting and Jamie and Layton had some minor acting roles.

Section 3 : Be able to plan and undertake team activities

3.1. plan activities to enable the teams goals
3.2. Identify own responsibilities towards the team in relation to the plan
 3.3 Carry out own responsibilities
3.4 Contribute to the successful completion of the team activities

We planned the film together as a team we discussed who would be doing what and how it would be achieved as a group, we carried out our own responsibilities ( mine as above) making everything work while were doing each take. We completed each task and managed to get the trailer finished in the full day as a team. I think we did well together and would enjoy aiming to make another film i contributed to the team by doing a bit of directing and cinematography i enjoyed doing this as i learned a bit about filmmaking.

4: Be able to review team activities.

4.1. Feedback on own actions in relation to the overall team activities
As a team i think we did good and the end product I would count it as a success but we did also have weaknesses as a team like it took us while to film the end scene as we couldn't agree on what to include in the final scene and we all had different suggestions and some of them just didn't work i found getting the final scene done a little difficult as we ran into a few problems with the lighting and audio and team disagreement the team contributed with audio and filming and i think together we have come along way and have learnt stuff to away with me and hopefully make more films in the future  be able to review team activities

4.2 Describe different team members contribution.

Fentse was directing me and Deacon were assistant directing Dan Sam and Karim were acting Layton was on audio and Jamie had a small acting role and did voiceovers Josh was helping with props and lights there was a scene were police lights were involved and  josh was there to help out
